• FEMA: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, provides information for disaster preparedness, relief and national emergency assistance.
• Flood Insurance Rate Map: Access Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) provided by FEMA to determine the amount of flood risk in certain areas and whether flood insurance is necessary.
• NAIC: The National Association of Insurance Commissioners is an organization created by the chief insurance regulators from each of the 50 states to establish standards and regulate the conduct of insurance companies in their respective state.
• Texas Department of Insurance: The TDI works to regulate the insurance industry while protecting and informing Texas residents and businesses that are served by insurance.
• Texas Windstorm Inspection Program: This program is intended to notify Texas residents including insurance agents, builders and inspectors of the applicable process, of the rules that apply to structures located on the Texas Gulf Coast .
